Ben Beakes, Managing Member

​

Ben Beakes is the founder and managing member of Three Point Strategies.  With over a decade of political and government affairs experience, Beakes has built his company with reputable clients from a diverse array of industries. Beakes also has vast experience in campaigns, grassroots, and public relations.

​

  • Started 3PS, which has served over 20 clients since 2015

  • Director of government and external affairs for Alpha Natural Resource

  • Vice President for University of Development at the University of Charleston

  • State Director of McCain 2008 in West Virginia

  • Chief of Staff for Secretary of State Betty Ireland 

  • Political Director for West Virginia Republican Party
     

Through his experiences, Beakes has developed a vast network of relationships with elected and community leaders. Beakes’s motivation for the success of West Virginia has garnered him a reputation as a passionate and tireless advocate for his clients. 

 

A graduate of the University of Charleston, Beakes now is a member of its board of trustees.  He is also a member of River Ridge Church, a youth/little league coach, and is a dedicated family man to his wife, Sarah, and their children Chloe and Cooper.

Rebecca Guilliams, Operations Manager
 

Rebecca Guilliams is an associate with Three Point Strategies. Guilliams was born and raised in West Virginia. She attended Marshall University and earned a major in marketing and a minor in economics. After college, she earned her Series 7 and 63 licenses and was a financial advisor for several years. She is married to a West Virginia native, Mike Guilliams, and has two children, Benjamin and Molly. She is actively involved in her church as well as her local community volunteering her time in youth sports and school activities.

 

“This is where I live and raise my family. It’s important to me to be a part of something that moves this state forward for their future and all of West Virginia. I have that opportunity here working with 3PS.”

With the addition of Guilliams, 3PS has expanded its services to include association management. Guilliams will take a leading role in managing the business operations and communications functions for our association clients needing management services. She also focusses her attention on policy research and legislative tracking for our clients.

Jason Hager, Partner

President - Marketing & Public Relations

Jason has over 20 years of experience helping clients grow and market their businesses. He has worked with companies large and small, local and international, to increase market share and generate more business. He is a marketing expert and has trained groups of business professionals from all over the world on sales and marketing strategies.

 

Jason has the ability and experience to help organizations of all sizes plan and execute highly effective marketing plans with measurable results. He has been an international keynote speaker and consultant to businesses on marketing strategy, business development, social media, and website development. 

​

Jason serves on the Putnam County Young Life Committee and also serves as a volunteer Young Life leader in Winfield and Hurricane. He leads a trip to Kenya each year to work with Young Life soccer camps in Nairobi. In 2014, Jason worked with business groups throughout Kenya to teach start-up and business development /marketing processes and tactics to hundreds of participants. He is the Communications and Missions Director at River Ridge Church and an Area Developer for Young Life in West Virginia.

Jason was born in Barboursville, WV and holds a degree from West Virginia University Institute of Technology.  He resides in Hurricane, WV with his wife, Monica, and three daughters, Madeline, Marlee and Meghan. Jason and his family recently spent 2 years living in England working on development projects with Young Life UK, Africa, and Middle East.

He is a proud West Virginian and an outdoor junkie. He loves hiking, fishing and/or mountain biking and snowboarding. He and his wife are also advocates for foster care and adoption as two of their three girls are adopted from West Virginia.

Joe Reidy, Vice President - Public Affairs

 

Joe Reidy is a Berkeley County native and graduate of West Virginia University. Reidy has advised successful political campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels. He has worked with national and state consulting firms and professional associations to advance legislation and establish grassroots and grasstops operations. He lives in Kanawha City with his fiancée Katie and their golden retriever Charley.
