3PS celebrates 5-year milestone
Charleston, W.Va.: Three Point Strategies, LLC (3PS), a top lobbying and public relations firm based in Charleston, West Virginia, celebrated its five-year anniversary today. 3PS launched its operations on September 1, 2015. Led by its founder, managing member, and one of West Virginia’s top lobbyists, Ben Beakes, 3PS has grown significantly in just five short years.
“When I launched 3PS we had one person, me, and only two clients,” Beakes said. “Today our team consists of four talented professionals, expanded our business lines into association management and a full slate of creative services, and we have had the pleasure of serving 25 clients representing a wide array of industries.”
Important milestones during the company’s time in business:
September 1, 2015 – Ben Beakes launched 3PS after receiving encouraging words from a long-time trusted advisor and his wife, Sarah. With much prayer and discernment, Beakes and his family took the risk of leaving the comforts of a steady paycheck to build new opportunities for himself, his future clients, and his future team members.
January 13, 2016 – Word spread quickly that there was a new government affairs firm with a new approach. In addition to the two clients he had at the start of 3PS, Beakes went into the 2016 West Virginia Legislative Session with six more clients, serving eight total.
July 1, 2018 – 3PS expanded its service offerings into association management. It also added Rebecca Guilliams as its operations manager, to assist in managing the day-to-day needs of its association clients.
November 12, 2019 – 3PS expanded again, this time into marketing, public relations, and digital media services. With the expansion, 3PS added its third team member, Jason Hager. Hager is the president of marketing and digital services for 3PS.
January 1, 2020 – As our client base grew the team realized it was necessary to acquire additional talent in the government affairs area. Jarred Cannon joined the team at 3PS, becoming the fourth team member.
September 1, 2020 – 3PS celebrated five years in business.
“Being part of a growing firm and developing solutions for our clients has been personally gratifying,” said Jason Hager, president of marketing and digital services for 3PS. “We have developed a culture of service and excellence. When our clients tell us they couldn’t have done it without us it motivates the entire team to serve them even better.”
3PS has two guiding principles in its approach to serving its clients. “No matter the client, problem, or project our goal is the same,” said Beakes. “We aim to put our clients in the best position possible to achieve successful outcomes. And character matters. We want to be a light to our clients and to those with whom we interact on their behalf.”
Beakes and his team have a message to the 25 clients 3PS currently serves or have served. “Thank you! Thank you for being part of our success. Thank you for entrusting our team with serving your needs.”
